A lecturer in a tertiary institution in Osun state (name
withheld), was said to have fainted in a bank on Thursday, August 6,
over failure of the Osun state government to pay him his expected
salary.
The lecturer fainted after he discovered that he was paid N150 by
the state government for his February salary instead of N150,000.
The lecturer, a post-graduate student at the Federal University of
Technology, Akure, was expected to write an examination but lamented the
money would not cater for his transport.
According to Daily Post, he had some outstanding fees to pay at the
university which he had proposed to pay with the expected salary.
He was however admitted into a private hospital in Osogbo where his blood pressure is being managed.
